A little background…

The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and good news refreshes the bones. (Proverbs 15:30, ESV)

What is life like in the “kingdom of God?” I think it starts with Christ-centeredness, humility, maturing together, vibrant community… and keeping things uncomplicated.

40 years of ministry in Latin America, 35 of them in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, inform what and how I write today. Always seeking the broad view… the long view.

I’m an avid seeker of things that are less nationalistic, more quintessential and universal in scope. God’s kingdom is a spiritual kingdom. It cannot be encircled by geographical boundaries. It is governed by its own set of rules. Hence, the challenge is to keep its purposes and activities to the fore.

God grant us insight and composure. May we be model citizens of his kingdom!
