09/23/2024 - Carol was called home to be with Jesus one year ago.
Dates don’t bother me as much as they do some people. Nevertheless, I didn’t want this day to pass without again declaring my profound thankfulness to God for Carol.
We never expected the blessing of being married again. That unexpected interruption in our lives turned into a six-year space of camaraderie and profound fellowship in Christ—a gift from our kind God.
Missing someone is normal. Missing someone with a serene smile is my new normal. The smile might be—at least in part—because of the hope we shared of seeing each other again in the presence of God forever.
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” (Romans 8:18, ESV)
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13, ESV)
It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year Greg. Even though your time with Carol was short, it was a gift and a blessing for both of you. I’m glad you have those memories. Carol is missed by all of us who were blessed to know her ❤️
I’m missing Carol along with you.❤️
